"I aim here only at revealing myself, who will perhaps be different tomorrow, if I learn something new which changes me. I have no authority to be believed, nor do I want it, feeling myself too ill-instructed to instruct others."
-- (Michael de Montaigne, essayist and polymath)

What is "Fading Suns"?

Well, according to Holistic Design, the producers of said setting, it is a "...techno-fantasy passion play..." which has spawned two role-playing games, a computer game, a music CD, miniatures, tshirts and other sundry collectibles since its inception in 1996. Anyone not interested in hearing more than any sane person would ever want to know about this fantastic universe of nobles, starships, priests, robots and alien mystery can click away to the Goats in Bondage site or wherever such reprobates normally lurk.

It should be noted that both this website and the "Fading Suns" universe are intended for mature audiences. This is not to imply that there is gratuitous swearing, nudity or hate-mongering in Holistic Design's product, but that serious questions about culpability, inherited guilt and the human condition are addressed therein. Although "Fading Suns" can be a rip-snorting, swashbuckling all-action extravaganza at it's best a game of "Fading Suns" is something more than your typical Munchkin RPG. Then again, you wouldn't be here if you didn't know what you were looking for eh?

Statement of intent, apologia and what-not out of the way; it's on with the show. Hopefully you will come to see this site as a fun and valuable resource for your own use. That being so I hope you will further consider my offer to become slaves to the Lifeweb, bookmark us among your favourite sites and return here often for reprogramming. What? Oh, sorry. It's just that rash I picked up on Stigmata again. ;-)
